Potholes

Local Info

Small pot holes can be annoying - Large pot holes can be dangerous to your car, your life and your wallet. When you see a pothole or have been unfortunate to have hit one REPORT IT. Do not assume that someone else has already done so. It is not only your safety at stake but that of others.

Step 1
If you see a pothole
, take a note of:

  • The size of the pothole (width, length and depth)
  • The site of the pothole on the road (centre / kerb / near to manhole covers )
  • The location of the pothole (road name and house number)

Step 2
Report the pothole in any of the following ways:

  • Surrey County Council website - Follow this link Highways problems and enquiries and click the Pothole link further down the page and complete the displayed form.

  • By Phone - Ring the contact centre on:0300 200 1003 between 8 a.m - 6 p.m Monday to Friday

In either case, note the date and time you logged the pothole and the reference number which can be used in any further correspondence with the council.
