• Married to Pam, with three children
• Non-executive director of the Surrey Ambulance Service
• Reigate and Banstead Borough Councillor, serving on the Planning Committee
• Vice-Chairman of Governors at Shawley Community Primary School
• Actively involved in the charity for speech and language impaired children and young adults (AFASIC)
